I know 97% of the people reading this will seldom apply this simple strategy. They think they need something more profound, more epic to kick them in the butt and ignite their passion for hitting the gym.

Let me get this straight: Only 16% of Americans have a gym membership. That’s about 50.2 million people. Out of that 50 million 67% never use their membership. Only 3% of that 67% are consistent with their gym attendance. It means the vast majority never utilize the benefits of their membership. They only waste that opportunity and throw their money down the drain.

Laziness isn’t the only reason people hate going to the gym. Most often it’s the lack of guidance, fail to put up a concise plan of what they want to achieve, how they want to reach it and how long will it take for them to realize their goal.

Confusion and not knowing what do to do is one of the primary cause people don’t like going to the gym. First, the wrong mindset and the wrong approach discourages people because they never experience practical results. It’s always no result or a tiny bit that doesn’t keep the fire burning, so they end up quitting.

How to motivate yourself to workout

Here’s something I do to stay motivated for my workouts.
I ask one simple question “ How can I have a fantastic workout and have fun doing it?
The quality of your questions is directly related to the amount of motivation or inspiration you feel deep inside. The better the question, the more accurate the answer.

I also have a very specific goal written down that allows me to have a clear vision of what I want to achieve.
I know how long it will take me to get that particular result. And If I don’t attain that result, I analyze the steps correct them and start again with a different strategy.

Before every workout, I have my goal clearly define in my head. I can visualize the feeling I would experience when I attain that goal.

If it’s a particular body type, I create a visual image in my head of how I will look like at 10% body fat and 11% body fat 9% body fat.
If my goal is strength and size gain, I visualize myself lifting that particular weight and feeling pumped and excited as fuck when I hit my PR.

I enjoy listening to epic music it gets me in a very focus state as if I’m battling with my mediocre self to create a more powerful version of me by battling with the iron.

Over the years, I have learned to condition my mind to find pleasure in pushing heavy weights that morph my body into something more powerful and versatile.

That sense of accomplishment is an addiction to my brain. It will be the same for yours only if you decide to workout 3-4 times a week a living habit.
